MEET THE MAKER
I'm the heart and hands behind our small family business. I wear many hats in this journey: candle maker, aroma blender, jar cleaner, wick placer, product designer, website builder, wick trimmer, product tester, marketing director, email responder, customer service representative, and shipment fulfiller. While this may be a woman-owned business, it’s truly a family affair.
My husband, Jake, is my rock and partner in wax stirring, often providing much-needed support and humor as our in-house therapist. Our son is the enthusiastic head of label application, ensuring each candle looks perfect. And then there’s Brick, our English Bulldog, who serves as both the supervisor and head of the napping department, bringing a smile to our faces every day.
Candle making is more than a craft for me; it’s a source of healing and joy. As a recent convert to the West Coast lifestyle, I find inspiration and peace in exploring all that San Diego has to offer. When I’m not immersed in candle creation, you’ll find me by the ocean, listening to the soothing sound of the waves.
I live for daily iced lattes, bold lip colors, statement glasses, and topless Jeep rides. Bulldog snuggles, Avicii tunes, meditation, and the occasional late sleep-in are my guilty pleasures. I cherish fresh air, California sunsets, and believe strongly in the power of a positive mindset and treating everyone with kindness and love.
OUR WHY
My love for candles goes back as far as I can remember. There's something magical about how a simple flame and a beautiful aroma can transform any space, evoking memories, and stirring emotions. Candles have the power to uplift our spirits, help us relax, and make us feel at home.
However, my passion took a turn when I discovered the hidden dangers in the candles from big box stores. I was shocked to learn about the harmful chemicals they released, posing risks to our health and well-being. The idea of burning these in my home, around my family and dog, became unacceptable. I knew I had to find a better way.
In 2020, I embarked on a journey to create safe, natural, and high-quality candles. Today, our handcrafted soy candles are free from harmful toxins, ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for you and your loved ones. We take pride in making products that won’t cause headaches and are gentle enough for children and pets.
Since our humble beginnings in 2020, the love and support for our candles have been overwhelming. Each candle is made in small batches with meticulous care and attention to detail, ensuring that every piece we send out carries our passion and commitment to quality.
